Major figure of the Romanian Optzecism, shaped by a vast humanist culture, Ioan Aurel Mureșan works with practices that go beyond the field of visual arts, extending to that of literature or encompassing with equal easiness speculative areas. In addition to a constantly enriched visual creation, founded both on the traditional media of painting and drawing and on various forms of experiment, his work comprises also poetry and theoretical studies.
