Sketchbook (2)

Sketchbook, 11x7 cm, without covers (lateral spine), 97 pages remaining that contain sketches in black ink and preparatory notations for the series “Via Dolorosa” and “The Wonderful Hours of Duke d’Ivry”. Most likely it dates from circa 1990-1991 (when the series “Via Dolorosa” is completed). The alternation of the drawings for the two series is very interesting, evincing the artist’s ability to focus on very different directions.
